I am only Me
I am only me, that is all that I can be
No more, no less, don’t second guess
I love, I laugh, I live and cry,
I’ve wished at times, that I could die
Some days I’m funny, others I’m not,
sometimes I’m in overdrive and can’t stop
I am a loyal and honest friend,
You know that I’ll be there until the end
I can be sweet and shy or sassy and bold,
I’m quite a handful, or so I’ve been told
I am not perfect, I do have my faults,
like when I get scared I put up high walls
Or I’m not as forgiving, as I’d sometimes like to be,
because when I hurt, I hurt deeply
My logic is all my own, at times misunderstood,
because I don’t always do things for my own good
I am only me.

3 THINGS FIRST YEARS SHOULD REMEMBER BEFORE HEADING TO VARSITY
Dear first year varsity students, congratulations on making it this far in your school career. And trust me when I say that your varsity years will be the awesomest years of your life!
I met some of my closest friends in varsity and even until today, we’re still conquering and living this thing called life together. I got my first taste at living on my own and it was the most liberating thing ever. It’s difficult at first adjusting to cooking for myself and making time for studies, but after a while I got used to it. And partying, partying, partying was the name of the game! .
As much as varsity is fun and you’re on your own, it teaches you to be responsible for yourself because there’s no one there to baby you and smack your hand when you do something wrong. So, my dear young first years that are heading off to big people school, let big sister share some 3 vital rules that you need to remember for your first year at varsity.
Put your studies first
Don’t let the student centre and smoking hubbly on the lawns fool you into thinking that you will pass your modules. You need to take your studies seriously and make sure your work is up to date before you chill out with friends. Remember, varsity isn’t cheap and even if you have a bursary, that will be taken away should you fail, so make sure you have your priorities straight and dedicate the majority of your time to your studies.
Listen to your seniors
The most suicidal thing to do if you’ll be staying at res is being cheeky and disrespectful to your seniors. You are at the bottom of the food chain, so just do yourself a favour. Obviously, if lines are crossed into harassment then it’s a different story altogether. But otherwise, stick it out, respect the authorities in the res house and enjoy the experience because it only happens in first year.
Time management
My biggest struggle while I was in first year was time management. There was just a lot of work to cover from the different modules, and on top of that, I had to make time for sleeping, socializing time, attending lectures, first year activities and the list goes on and on. So learning how to manage your time will help you in your day-to-day varsity life and you’ll have loads of fun in the process and less stress. Make use of the counseling facilities at your varsity so that they can help you map out a schedule that will be good for you.
Varsity will be the best time of life if you approach it positively and live it out wisely. Sure, there will be those few bumps along the road, like ending a relationship with your sweetheart or a fall-out with some friends, but everything good or bad contributes to the experience. It’s the last stepping stone before you enter into the real big people world, so make sure you enjoy it to the max!
Good luck !

Childhood story
![]() |
| Loving every moment ,Be thankful always ! |
It was with great happiness, in 19994, 12 September when my parents
welcomed a baby gurl.Grew up, in extended family. My dad: Mr S.Eliaser and mom:
Mrs E.Lotto.We re six siblings in total and me being their last born.Anna,
Denniz, Simon, Elly and Happy. I was raised well, meant had almost everything I
needed. Amazing! Ofcourse was their centre of attention. The name ‘Nkelo’was
used everywhere. I love them so much. Indoor type, enjoyed being close to my
family.
Everyone said when you are a child, you are having a good happy life and you don't have any problems at all.But I think not all children are so lucky enough to have a happy childhood life experience.Me by my self,I don't want to judge anyone or cretisize anybody whats going on about their life but what I'm going to talked here is basic to my true story about my childhood life.
Time flew by, at the age of five started school at Ekuwa Primary School.
Have been perfectly doing great. I mean I never disappoint my parents. As time
went by it’s with no surprise as my performance was always outstanding. First thing,
was to make sure I’m the top three. Can’t recall much of my friends from
primary school, is that what u call low memory storage? Doubt so! Well, after
my grade six I moved to Okau combined School. Such friends I made were: Tina K,
Marry M, Foibe, Anne-lize P, Nairoby .part of life ‘Khoslam’, just for a while.
Had been great, spend time together. Had fun….. That time it was just us, most
noticed one. Until then things get worse at the end of grade ten exams. Sweet
turned to sour. Friendship got ruined. But ya doesn’t matter. Managed to get excellent points in grade 10 and got admitted at Gabriel Taapopi, my preferably school. How
thankfully!
It wasn’t easy. Have to find new friends, get used to the environment.
Not what I thought happened so fast. Met incredible people Helena A, Fiina
H,Veronica (Velocity) J,Aina Sh,Liah(Boxera).Can’t complain much about my 2010
roommate Taimi E,Toini E,Kristofina ,Jacobina,Ndahafa(Twinny),Auguste D,Emilia
E… Loved them all. Been through ups and down, but managed to succeed. It was
already 2011, end year and we have to say farewell to everyone. Coolest place
it has been. Classmates were more like a family. The G class. Best class among
the grade 12s.Satisfying points in grade 12 in six subjects. Got admitted to Poly
(Polytechnic of Namibia #NUST).Did my bridging year in 2012.(2012 July -2013 November – Tox
). Just happened. I’m sorry but had to. Later changed to Geomatics Engineering
in 2013. (Laina/Spyro, Team traverse and other thing‘s members, and that czn
that I love Kasmall, +goes on!!!.Enjoyed being in the field. Hoping 2014 will
be a successful year.
To be continued !!!
